Fender Stratocaster or more fondly known as a “Strat” is the Icon of Electric Guitars. It is the most copied and the basic blueprint for most shredding guitars these days also commonly referred to as “Super Strats”. I am privileged enough to own two of them.

This is one of them. A classic vintage 69 Strat. I have had this beauty for 23 years now. It came with the Reflex Reds Pickups. They are actives and requires a 9v battery to run. They are great pickups but to replace the battery was always a pain as it was located under the pickguard. So it wasn’t used as much as I would like to.

Recently I had the Reflex moved to another Strat Copy that I have and replaced them with the Seymour Duncan YJM Fury STK-S10. It compliments the guitar nicely. A passive bliss, very responsive and articulate. Now she sings and screams on call.

Here’s a simple demo of how she sounds. It’s recorded directly through the camera’s mic, so it’s raw.
