I have always loved Les Paul’s. The body shape, thick warm tone and most of all the short scale neck. Affording it is one thing as everybody knows they don’t come cheap. But due to one factor, I just couldn’t really sit well with it. – Les Paul’s are mainly heavy guitars. So to my friends that are LP users, you know I salute you in your amazing ability to handle the weight for long periods of time and still nail every note sweetly. I am a fan.
So if I wanted something similar, the next option would be to actually build a custom design guitar to my own liking. Now for most guitar freaks, just the thought of having your very own custom design guitar is a distant fantasy that makes us drool simply because they don’t come cheap either and in fact some might even be much more expensive than branded models. But for the amount of money one spends on a custom guitar, satisfaction factor goes up by a few notches guarenteed!.
Finally after more than two decades, I came across a guitar that would be similar to the specifications that I would myself choose if I were to build a custom guitar. So here she is, the Dean Deceiver FG. I got it at a bargain from E-Bay sometime mid last year. It was my first time purchasing a guitar online. All in all for the price that I got it, it is AWESOME! Finally an LP shape guitar that I can get really intimate with Specs are over at the Dean’s Site.
This is more or less how she sounds…kindly ignore the sloppiness
